From the bed in New Bern

My halo has fallen from my head in recent days. I have turned into a bitch. Very irritable. No one told me that my back and neck would all of a sudden wake up with extreme spasms from last week's surgery. Or that I would have dreams about smashing the neck brace into a million pieces. Cancer is a piece of cake compared to this crap. Hope to get this piece of evil taken off my neck next Tuesday when Mom and I travel to Raleigh for two days of appointments.

Started Oral Chemo Pills on Monday. 4 in the morning; 4 at night. so far so good. I know its only Tuesday but if you have ever had to take poison such as chemo, the first couple of days are the scariest. Feeling good, only minor headaches.

I have been hanging in New Bern with my dog driving my parents insane. Thank you for everyone who has sent flowers, cards, and food. We are all going to get fat! I would especially like to thank everyone from my past life in New Bern. You think you get away from home but you never really do. All your notes,calls, and prayers have meant the world to me. Thank u for taking time out of your busy days to reach out.
