Good News

I had my big CT Scan last Friday. It was delayed until 4 so we did not get the results until this morning. Test showed that the tumor in my liver has reduced in size from the PET Scan we had in Feb. So the chemo and infusions are working! Best news we have had since diagnosis. I am still dealing with bone pain in certain parts of my spine/neck but I can handle that as long as the major areas are settling down.

I also started back to work today. Have been out since March so it was tough getting up and joining the Raleigh traffic. Since I have been on Short Term Disability since March 2nd, my computer and emails were still down. So I could not start back in the rat race. Then my 3:00 nap time arrived so I went home for the day to bed. Its tiring joining life again. But I am setting the alarm for tomorrow and giving it another shot. I think it will get easier. Thank you to my great group at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney for helping me through this transition. It really helps to have you on my side as I go through all my doctor visits, scans and infusions.

We will continue to stay on the same daily oral chemo I have been on since it seems to be working. I have only had fatigue from this treatment so I am excited to be able to keep taking it. After all, it is summer time so I want to be able to enjoy the simple days of sun. The infusions will be one every 3 weeks and one every 6 weeks. Not sure when my next round of scans will be. But will keep you up to date once I know. I'm the type that doesn't ask too many questions. Sometimes too much knowledge of one's disease is a bad thing.

Thank you for putting my family in your prayers!
