. . . you never know

Before I give you my latest health updates, here is a little bit of info for you. I always stop and give $ to the homeless who love to beg at the intersections in Raleigh. (Sorry Big Bob, but you know I'm a democrat :-)). This week while Mom and I were going to another doctor appointment, we stopped at the ramp of Lake Boone and 440. There was a man asking for funds, so we pulled up and I rolled down my window to give him a dollar. He turned out to be a little "tiny" man who touched my hand as I gave him the funds and said in an Irish accent "Have a blessed day lassie!" He was totally a freakin Leprechaun! and this was the day after St. Patrick's Day! So I now should have the luck of the Irish with me. I'll take whatever I can get right now. So in the future, stop by that homeless person and give some change. You never know.

Medical Crap - I will be moving back to Raleigh next Tuesday! I start Radiation on Wednesday - 15 or 18 days straight. Should only get tired. But since I will still be doing oral chemo at home every day plus an infusion every three weeks, I will be hanging out at home with Harvey (my dog in case you didn't know), and not venturing back to work quite yet. My company, my guys at work, and the office, have been the best and that has enabled me to rest at home without worrying about my job. So if you are out in Raleigh, please call and stop by to visit us. Staying at home is not the most exciting thing in the world. I would much rather be sitting at my desk running my mouth to everyone around me then doing what I'm doing now.

Other than cancer, I'm doing great! Heading to beach tomorrow - thank you to Dana and Jay Parrish for allowing us to stay at their beach place. I will come back Sunday to get ready for the move home.

Thanks for your prayers - Jenn

  1. Jenn, Hysterical! It made me think of the elf outfit that Sterling wears to christmas events. Holidays are always so much fun!

I'm in CB until April 1st, let me know if you're heading this way.
